DECCANET ANNOUNCES INVESTMENT FROM INTEL CAPITAL

BANGALORE, India, November 21, 2001 - Deccanet Designs Limited, a telecommunications solutions company, today announced that it had received an investment from Intel Capital. The investment will help Deccanet expand its product portfolio, operations and marketing capabilities worldwide.

Deccanet undertakes outsource research and development, and software development for telecommunications companies around the world. The company specializes in developing telecommunications and data communications products, as well as products that facilitate the convergence of voice and data communications. Deccanet also develops test automation tools.

Mr Venkat Rajendran, Joint Managing Director of Deccanet and the company�s other founder said, �Companies in the telecommunications space are under pressure to deliver highly sophisticated, fault tolerant products both economically and quickly. By focussing entirely on the telecommunications sector, we have built up expertise enabling us to customize pertinent solutions rapidly for customers internationally in conjunction with channel partners and telecommunications equipment manufacturers.�

�This investment will help us strengthen our position as a solutions provider in the telecom, datacom and convergence area through channel partners and telecom equipment manufacturers internationally� added Mr M. T. Karunakaran, Joint Managing Director of Deccanet and one of its two founders.

Intel Capital invests in companies, such as Deccanet, that provide products and services that supports the Internet Exchange Architecture,� said Avtar Saini, Director of South Asia, Intel.
