Accelerated Encryption Processing Inc. (AEP) is a multinational company specializing in e-Security. AEP develops, manufactures and markets the fastest range of hardware cryptographic accelerators available. The company is based in Dublin, Ireland with offices in California and London. AEP's expertise in cryptography coupled with a wide ranging skill set from ASIC (Application Specific Integrated Circuit) design through application programming provides all the necessary building blocks for full sub-system design.
This ensures a fast time-to-market of leading-edge cryptographic solutions for the SSL/SET, PKI, VPN and Mobile markets globally. Solutions ranging from products, system integration, IP and design services make AEP the Cryptographic Specialists of choice.
AEP SSL Accelerator *
AEP's core solution, the AEP SSL Accelerator* enables faster processing of secure transactions and is designed to handle both current and future requirements. Designed around AEP's proprietary ASIC chip, the AEP SSL Accelerator* range is the fastest available in todays market. Providing the extra processing power to handle peak SSL loads and minimize customer wait times, the AEP SSL Accelerator * is a scalable solution with high performance subsystems for both public key and symmetric cryptography. This solution fully off-loads all compute-intensive cryptographic functions from a server thus eliminating bottlenecks and maximizing potential e-business capacity.
Chris Fairclough, CEO
AEP originated in 1998, the brainchild of Chris Fairclough, a man with extensive experience both within the commercial and academic circles of the e-Security market. Prior to founding AEP, Chris worked for 15 years at Mentec, an international engineering and computer solutions company. He held various key positions including the original R&D Director, Managing Director of a subsidiary and Technical Director. He has extensive experience in building partnerships and delivery of products to major OEM companies globally. Chris has been involved in the development of a number of international IC design and embedded software projects and it was the combination of these skill sets and an awareness of the emerging market opportunities for cryptographic accelerators that led him to establish AEP.
