Auxora is an industry leader in the design and manufacture of thin film WDM filters and thin film based optical components that enable All-Optical Networks.
Auxora has established its reputation with the capability to manufacture very difficult, custom filters such as extremely low ILEF Gain Flattening Filters (GFF) with excellent thermal stability, Band Splitters with ultra wide pass band, extremely high isolation and low ripples, and special 100 GHz DWDM filters for 40 Gbit/s applications. We also manufacture conventional DWDM, CWDM, and long/short pass filters.
Xin Zhang, CEO
Dr. Xin Zhang received his Ph.D. in Physics in 1991 from Boston College. Between 1991 and 1995 he was a postdoctoral fellow and research associate at The Center for Research and Education in Optics and Lasers (CREOL) at University of Central Florida, Orlando, FL, where he performed research and development work in the area of solid state lasers and optical amplifiers.
In 1995 he joined Melles Griot newly created R&D center in Massachusetts as one of the key founding employees and was involved in the development of 980 nm pump lasers for telecommunications, high speed modulated fiber coupled diode laser illuminators, and diode laser pumped solid state lasers.
In 1997 he joined Corning OCA (formerly OCA) as a Senior Engineer to create a new R&D group in Electro-Optics from scratch. He is the inventor of the filter-locked tunable laser technology. He was later promoted to the position of Manager of R&D in which he oversaw all the thin film based DWDM research & development activities, including thin film design, deposition, process development, optical engineering, and DWDM packaging.
Dr. Zhang founded Auxora, Inc. in January 2000.
