DigitalPersona provides mass-market solutions for personal digital identification based on biometrics. The company uses proprietary hardware, software and firmware to ensure that its customers have a convenient and secure means of identifying themselves in an increasingly digital world.

The company's first product line is marketed under the U.are.U.family name. The retail products include an elegantly designed, mouse-sized sensor with a USB connector; software and firmware for scanning fingerprints, extracting data from the print, and matching that data to a pre-registered template; and a series of productivity applications built around fingerprint identification. The U.are.U product line works with any Intel-based, USB-enabled computer system, running Windows 95/98. The U.are.U product line is aggressively priced for mass-market adoption, and is available for the Retail, VAR, and OEM markets.

Fabio Righi, President/CEO
Fabio Righi, president and CEO, was part of the founding management team at computer peripherals maker, Logitech, where he held a number of senior management positions including vice president and general manager responsible for business operations worldwide, and international vice president of sales and marketing worldwide. Following Logitech, Righi became COO of VideoLogic, a supplier of high-end graphics boards. Righi founded DigitalPersona in 1996.
