Philip Spertus Philip Spertus, President & CEO
An honors graduate of MIT, Philip Spertus is a highly regarded member of the Chicago business community with more than three decades of successfully building and running companies. Mr. Spertus was Chairman and President of Intercraft Industries Corporation, the world�s largest manufacturer of picture frames and related products, until 1992 when Intercraft was sold to Newell Company, now Newell Rubbermaid. Mr. Spertus is also a co-founder and partner in a Commodity trading company, Northfield Trading, which manages approximately $150 million. In 1999 and 2000, its performance ranked near the top of all Commodity Trading Advisory Firms. He also has numerous philanthropic interests and recently served as chairman of the Austin Lyric Opera.
