Get2Chip, a privately held company located in San Jose, California, was launched in early 2000 by semiconductor veterans and EDA experts from LSI Logic, VLSI Technology, Synopsys and Mentor Graphics, among others, to provide an integrated, multi-level synthesis platform to develop ultra-deep sub-micron chip designs at the architectural, register-transfer (RTL) and gate level.
The company primary products, VOLARE and TOPOMO, jointly perform system-level synthesis of a multi-million gate chip using a top-down methodology and a unique topology-driven synthesis approach. VOLARE offers a drop-in compatible synthesis alternative that delivers the best quality of results, 10x capacity, and 10x faster runtime, that scales up to the architectural level. TOPOMO addresses, at its root, the DSM timing closure dilemma that obsoletes all synthesis tools developed in the 90's. These tools are ideally suited for the emerging wireless, networking, telecom and multimedia market segments.

Bernd has more than 20 years of experience in the microelectronics, communication and computing systems industries. Prior to forming Get2Chip, he held senior management positions with Mentor Graphics, VLSI Technology, NCR and LSI Logic. His broad industry experience as general manager and marketing executive ranges from launching the first portable pen computer and wireless consumer devices to managing global operations directing R&D, production, sales and marketing worldwide. Bernd received his training in electrical engineering at the Universitaet der Bundeswehr in Germany.
