SiRF's products are based on SiRFstar, a break-through architecture that offers fast acquisition and high sensitivity. Besides the IC and embedded core software for location calculation, it also offers platform specific software, e.g., SiRFLoc for wireless handheld, SiRFDRive for automobile and WinSiRF for host processor based. SiRF provides evaluation units and system development kits to accelerate customer product development.

Jackson Hu, CEO & President
Dr. Jackson Hu, President and CEO, has 23 years of experience in the semiconductor industry, including all phases of product development, marketing, operations, and management. Dr. Hu joined SiRF in Oct. 1996. Before that, he was a senior vice president and general manager at S3, Inc., a multi-media and graphics IC company for PC industry.Before S3, Dr. Hu held various management positions at Western Digital, Verticom, and Zilog.Jackson is a director of IKOS, a public EDA tool company; and a director of Sensory, an IC and IP start-up company specializing in speech recognition and synthesis technology.Jackson holds a Ph.D. in computer science from University of Illinois, Urbana and an MBA from Santa Clara University.
