VSK Photonics' mission is to deliver high-performance, cost-effective solutions for the next generation of optical transport networks. Our focus is to deliver component solutions for long haul and metro markets based on our proprietary InP semiconductor technology. Our team of professionals has a strong blend of executive, technical, and manufacturing expertise developing high-performance active photonic components and modules.

VSK Photonics has developed proprietary designs for 10 GB/s and 40 Gb/s components fabricated in the InP materials system. The designs are ideally suited for monolithic integration with InP high speed electronics for high performance at low cost.

Don E. Ackley, CEO
Donald E. Ackley, PhD, has 22 years of broad based experience with several high-tech companies in the photonics space including Motorola, Epitaxx, Siemens, Lytel, RCA, and Hewlett-Packard. He has served in senior executive positions with both large companies and high-growth start-ups. Dr. Ackley has developed and transitioned a variety of technologies into manufacturing including photonic components and systems, advanced epitaxial materials, high-speed electronics, and MEMS-based devices and sensors.
