Intel Solves the Pressing Challenges Facing Today's Financial Services Industry
The SIA Technology Management Conference and Exhibit is the largest show of its kind, targeting professionals within securities firms who are responsible for technology-based support activities, including communications, market data, trading room support, Web and Internet technology, and information systems.

Intel will be at the show demonstrating the benefits of straight through processing (STP) on Intel® processor-based systems. With the requirement of T+1, next-day settlement looming on the horizon, the securities industry is looking for fast, reliable, cost-effective solutions. STP on Intel architecture can help securities firms succeed in this changing market.

Intel President and Chief Operating Officer Paul Otellini will deliver a keynote speech to stress the advantages of an open architecture for T+1 processing. Intel has also prepared Solution Blueprints, which are recipes for successful STP implementations based on proven success in the field. These Solution Blueprints have Intel architecture at their foundation and are built with the expertise of the Intel® e-Business Network of solution providers.

Please read more about Intel's vision for straight through processing in the white paper [PDF, 555KB], "Global Securities Industry: Setting a Straight Course to T+1 Trade Processing."
