The saying, "Try it, you'll like it," held true for 100 technically savvy computer enthusiasts who were chosen to evaluate before they were available to the public the performance and capabilities of the Intel Pentium 4 processor on a home PC. Located throughout Germany and the United States, the participants were asked to push the limits of the 2.0 GHz Intel Pentium 4 processor for image processing, digital audio, streaming media, video content creation, 3D, CAD, games, multimedia, communication, and multitasking.
"It's so fast that I think the processor knows what I want to do before I do," commented Vard Wallace, who creates videos and was one of the people who received an Intel Pentium 4 processor-based system. Explains Wallace, "The ability to integrate video and audio has made this system really 'sing' for me."
Along with being very satisfied with the speed of the processor, the users commented about the opportunity to create high-end digital audio and video content, develop complex, multi-faceted images, and play compute-intensive games activities that were difficult to do on their previous platforms.
Musician Rodney Orpheus calls his Intel Pentium 4 processor-based system "the do-everything box." When creating music, he hardly uses any external devices or systems. "The Pentium 4 processor does every part of the process, whether writing, recording, mixing, mastering, burning the CD or creating the album cover."
In the coming months, well be showcasing how the outstanding performance and multimedia capabilities of the Pentium 4 processor have stimulated the creativity of users like Vard Wallace, Rodney Orpheus and Sven Augistin who push the limits of computing power.
