Intel's Utah employees believe it is important to support the community in which they live and work. To ensure an open and honest relationship with its neighbors, Intel holds neighborhood meetings to inform neighbors of plans and activities, as well as providing a forum to discuss neighborhood issues and concerns.

• Sponsored Salt Lake City NAACP Freedom Fund Banquet
• $15,000 MESA education programs for women and minorities in match, science,and engineering experiences in 95 elementary schools in Utah
• $12,000 scholarships for University of Utah Women in Science Access Program
• $5,000 in scholarships for Brigham Young University Society of Women Eningeers
• $20,000 Computer Lab installation for Guadalupe Schools

Other 2001 Community Contributions

• Intel Utah employees gave 65 presentations to more than 600 to school children during National Engineering Week

• In April 2001 Intel Utah employees held an annual blood drive. 100 pints of blood were donated.

• Intel Utah Receives Outstanding Business Award from Riverton City
• On April 18, 2001 Intel Utah was award the Outstanding Business Contribution Award by the City of Riverton at its first Volunteer Appreciation Banquet "Honoring the Shining Stars in our Community". Intel was recognized for its donations to educational organizations and to the Riverton community
