Since 1990 Intel Santa Clara has been working to keep our air clean and our roads less clogged by encouraging Intel employees to use RideShare. RideShare provides commuting alternatives to single occupant vehicles. RideShare includes carpooling using an on-line ridematching service, and programs that promote biking, walking, and the use of public transportation. Intel sponsors the Eco Pass program, which enables employees to use an Eco Pass for free unlimited rides on Valley Transit Authority buses and light rail trains.
Intel provides subsidizes to employees who use Caltrain, the Altamont Commuter Express (ACE) train, and Capitol Corrider/AMTRAK train. Intel also provides shuttle service from its three Santa Clara campuses to the Great America Train Station. Additional shuttles are available for employees to travel to and from the three campuses.
More than 25 percent of Intel's Santa Clara employees utilize RideShare programs making a significant contribution towards reducing air pollution and traffic levels in the Bay Area.
