Costa Rica is home to Intel first assembly and test facility in Latin America which began manufacturing operations in early 1998. This facility has been involved in the production of Intel� Pentium� 4 and Pentium� Xeon�, a server processor. The site has two assembly and test plants and also a 150,000 square foot Integrated Distribution Center.
Intel Costa Rica is located in the county of Belen which is in the central part of this 20,000 square mile country. It is 1.5 miles from the main international airport and about 5 miles from the capital city of San Jose. Costa Rica is known as a prime destination for ecotourism and adventure holidays.
