Lending a Hand to the Environment
At Nahal Hamearot, a nature reserve with prehistoric caves, approximately 40 employee volunteers of RDC** took part in a special Day for the Environment. The project was conducted in cooperation with the Nature Reserve and National Parks Authority.
Two groups of employees were assigned for clearing footpaths and cleaning up the riverbed (wadi). A third group put up fencing and markings. And a fourth group began to clear up land for the creation of a herb garden that will serve to build a footpath for blind individuals, who will be able to find their way according to the scents of the herbs.
Sharon Zaid, department manager, stated that he attaches great importance to this type of activity, both as a way of contributing to the community, as well as an activity geared at creating group spirit.
