Intel is committed to playing a positive role in preparing our youth for the demands of tomorrow. We work to make a difference by offering tools, resources, and programs to achieve targeted goals in math, science and technology.
In 2000, Intel Oregon contributed $9.6 million to education through grants and in-kind donations to K-12 and higher education schools. Over 1,150 Intel Oregon employees volunteered more than 38,000 hours making schools better.
Intel's education outreach objectives are:
- Improve science and math education in K-12
- Improve the use of technology in the classroom
- Broaden access to technology
- Encourage women and minorities to enter technical careers
