Intel's Logic Technology Development organization creates high performance logic technologies for products such as the Intel Pentium, Xeon and Itanium processors. We are responsible for wafer process development from the early stages of research all the way through development and transferring processes to our manufacturing fabs. Each of our new process generations provides smaller feature sizes and improved circuit performance.

Our teams are inventing the future
|
-
Portland Technology Development develops advanced logic technologies used to manufacture Intel's high performance processors. We develop smaller and faster transistors and interconnects and then transfer integrated process flows to our high volume manufacturing fabs. Technologies are currently developed in our state-of-the-art 300 mm development fab.
-
Logic Technology Development Microprocessor Design creates high performance processors for the latest manufacturing technology. These processors are used to certify and ramp the newest technologies into high volume production.
-
Technology Computer Aided Design provides computer models and simulation tools for Intel technology development, circuit design, product reliability and product manufacturing.
-
Components Research identifies and extends key process and device technologies in support of Intel's future manufacturing technology development needs. We focus on lithography, masks, interconnects, packaging, transistors and metrology.
-
Sort Test Technology Development designs and develops engineering processes for sort and class test of our newest microprocessor products. We are focused on several areas of process development including equipment certification, yield and failure analysis, product debug and validation, design-for-test, and high speed testing.
