Steven R. Grant is Vice President of the Technology and Manufacturing Group and Director, Logic Technology Manufacturing and Transfer. He co-manages logic process development and the transition of 300mm wafer production from development to high-volume manufacturing. He also manages the D1C development facility, Intel's first 300mm wafer factory.
Grant has held several management and technical positions in Intel's manufacturing organization, including plant manager at four separate wafer fabrication facilities. As a plant manager, Grant managed all operational aspects of these facilities including numerous process re-tooling efforts. His latest assignment involved managing Fab 20, Intel's first high-volume manufacturing facility using Intel's advanced 0.13-micron process technology, which produces smaller, faster microprocessors. Grant joined Intel in 1981.
Grant received a bachelor's degree in Material Science from the University of Illinois in 1981. He also serves as an executive board member of the Oregon Museum of Science and Industry.
