James H. Yasso is a Vice President, Desktop Platforms Group and General Manager, Reseller Products Group (RPG). RPG is focused on delivering branded PC building blocks and services to resellers, dealers, and small integrators worldwide via Intel's authorized distribution channels. This includes responsibility for the boxed products program, which presently encompasses processors, motherboards, server boards and workstation boards. In addition, this organization drives Intel's small business initiative.

Mr. Yasso joined Intel in 1980 as a New College Graduate. He began his career as a Customer Marketing Engineer in Special Systems Operation in Aloha, Ore. In 1982, he moved to the Sales Organization as a Field Sales Engineer in Chelmsford, Mass. He progressed to District Manager in Rochester, N.Y., in 1985 and Regional Manager in Dallas, Texas, in 1989.

In 1994, Mr. Yasso was promoted to General Manager, End User Components Division in Folsom, Calif., part of the Microprocessor Products Group. This division was responsible for OverDrive® Processor development and marketing, and launched the boxed processor program. He was appointed Vice President of Desktop Products Group in 1996.

Mr. Yasso was born in 1958 and grew up in Retsof, N.Y. He graduated magna cum laude from Syracuse University, School of Computer & Information Science with a Bachelor's degree in Systems & Information Science in 1980.
