Jeffrey McCrea is Vice President of the Desktop Platforms Group and Director of Desktop Platform Marketing. He is responsible for product marketing and applications engineering for Intel's desktop products. This includes desktop microprocessor and chipset roadmaps, business management, OEM demand creation and market segment analysis.
McCrea has held several product marketing and demand forecasting management positions since joining Intel in 1991. Since 1999, he has been the director of marketing for desktop products in the Intel Architecture Marketing and Desktop Products Groups. From 1998 to 1999, he was the product marketing manager for the Mobile and Handheld Products Group. His team was responsible for the product roadmap, pricing, and field sales communications for Intel's mobile products. From 1995 to 1998, McCrea was the consumer desktop marketing manager in the Consumer Products Group. Other positions has held during his Intel career include product line manager for the Pentium� Processor Division, demand forecasting manager for Microprocessor Marketing and Business Planning, and supplier relations manager in Process Equipment Development.
Prior to joining Intel, McCrea was an engineering consultant for Ebasco Services Inc.
McCrea earned an M.B.A. from the University of Michigan in 1991. He received a bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering from Duke University in 1987.
