Richard Wirt is an Intel Fellow, Enterprise Platforms Group and General Manager, Software and Solutions Group. The Software and Solutions group is responsible for enabling the Intel Architecture products thru ISV enabling, solutions enabling, core system sw enabling, and provide leading edge compilers and tools as products that allow customers to get the full performance benefit of our architectures.

In 1990, Dr. Wirt was awarded the title of Intel Fellow in recognition of his significant technical leadership. Dr. Wirt received his Ph.D. in Mathematics from the University of Oklahoma in 1972.
