Peter Silverman is an Intel Fellow and Director of Lithography Capital Equipment Development. He is responsible for coordination of Intel's lithography roadmap and for technical and commercial management of lithography equipment development programs.
Silverman joined Intel in 1978. Previously, he worked as a Process Development Engineer and Engineering Manager in Intel's Magnetics organization before joining the Process Equipment Development organization in 1990.
From 1975 to 1978, Silverman was an Assistant Professor at the Illinois Institute of Technology. In 1972, Silverman received his doctorate in Solid State Physics from the University of Maryland and received his bachelor's degree in Physics from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology in 1966.
Silverman holds four patents and has had more than 15 technical papers published. He is a member of the Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers (IEEE) and the International Society for Optical Engineering (SPIE).
