Gerald Marcyk
Director, Components Research, Logic Technology Development

INTEL CORPORATION

Gerald Marcyk is the Director of the Components Research group in the Logic Technology Development division. This group is responsible for the silicon, mask making and packaging research which supports Intel's microprocessor and logic devices. The Components Research group has engineering sites in Hillsboro, Oregon, Santa Clara California, and Chandler, Arizona.

Dr. Marcyk joined Intel in 1978 as a Development Engineer in the Portland Technology Development group in Hillsboro, Oregon. He originally worked on silicon development for dynamic RAM memory applications. He has worked as a technical contributor or engineering manager on the silicon technology for every Intel microprocessor since the 486 generation.

Dr. Marcyk is a graduate of the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign, from which he received a B.S. in 1973, M.S. in 1976, and Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering in 1978.
